Questions

How is this different from voice mode in my chat app?

Voice mode talks to you only while you have the chat app open. A PodBox episode arrives on its own and waits in your podcast app. It downloads for offline listening, plays in your car, and your podcast app remembers where you stopped and can play it faster.

Which podcast apps does it work with?

Apps that let you add a podcast by URL, including Apple Podcasts, Overcast and Pocket Casts. Not Spotify: it doesn't let you add private feeds.

How do I set it up? Do I need an API key?

No key. Paste "Set up PodBox: https://vx5cmqfxwk.execute-api.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/skill" into your agent. It signs you up if you are new, then signs you in. You approve one page in the browser, and it returns with your feed link. It works with agents that can read a web page and make web requests, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex and OpenClaw.

Is my feed private? Can I share it?

Your feed lives at a long, unguessable link that isn't listed in any podcast directory. You can share it with a few people, and they subscribe in their own podcast apps. If the link ever gets out, reset it in your dashboard and the old one stops working.

Which languages are supported?

Generated speech is in English, with one female and one male voice. Audio files you upload can be in any language.

Can I use PodBox to host a public podcast?

No. PodBox is built for private listening.
